Torrid is a super-villain of The Guild of Calamitous Intent chosen to arch The Order of the Triad in Fallen Arches.

Torrid is first seen auditioning to become the new arch of The Order of the Triad but in the midst of waiting he goes to the bathroom and later on impresses the order by kidnapping Orpheus' daughter, Triana Orpheus. It turns out he sent he her to an island between the tropics.

In Showdown at Cremation Creek Part I, he is shown attending the wedding of The Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.

He later appears in The Better Man, The Order of the Triad encounters Torrid in an abandoned mansion where he summons a giant beast from the underworld. However, after summoning the beast it throws Torrid into the portal to the underworld. Torrid is rescued by The Outrider who he begs to kill him to put him out of his misery. The outrider prepares to do so but the moment he puts his guard down. Torrid tackles him and places a curse on him sending the outriders soul into the underworld and leaving his body petrified. After this, Torrid vanished never to be heard from again.

Although Torrid's exact fate was left nebulous, a conversation between Watch and the Alchemist in Operation P.R.O.M. seems to confirm his demise. The Alchemist calls Watch with an unrelated question. However, Watch automatically assumes assumes the Alchemist is calling again about their arch (meaning Torrid) being deceased and tells the Alchemist it's not their problem that Torrid was "terminated by a third party".
