Helperburnings

The public outcry regarding the safety issues of H.E.L.P.eR.s eventually led to their destruction.

The Great Recalling, as it is referred to by H.E.L.P.eR. Model Two, is an event in the history of The Venture Bros. universe.

History[]

According to H.E.L.P.eR. Model Two it occurred during the time of Jonas Venture Sr., personal checks, and landlines. (Sometime after the 1966 model was released to the public.)

During this event, all the various H.E.L.P.eR. model robots were rounded up and destroyed. Formerly a convenience of true excellence, the H.E.L.P.eR. robot proved a choking hazard, which quickly turned the public against the robots. News publications of the time seem to imply this ill will turned into mass hysteria, as news stories described how H.E.L.P.eR. robots ate babies. Only two H.E.L.P.eR. model robots survived the sordid affair: the original H.E.L.P.eR. prototype owned by The Venture Family, and the H.E.L.P.eR Model Two, a robot rescued by Ben and retooled with human tissue to be intelligent and able to speak.[1]

Dr. Z's personal army of retooled H.E.L.P.eR. robots

It is possible that Dr. Z played a part in this horrible affair, as a flashback shows that he turned a number of H.E.L.P.eR. robots against Jonas Venture Sr. and attacked him with them (while riding atop Jonas Venture Sr.'s own excavation vehicle, first seen in What Goes Down Must Come Up).[2]
