Serpentine was an avant-garde supervillain and a member of a legion of New York-based villains called The Doom Factory.
History[]
Wes Warhammer and, by extension, The Doom Factory received arching rights to Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture as part of Wide Wale's Fiends and Family Plan. The villains threw a "Happening" in the penthouse of VenTech Tower, distracting Dr. Venture while they stole his scientific equipment and inventions.[1]
While the rest of the legion threw their "Happening", Serpentine sat on the couch of Venture's penthouse and made acid-tongued remarks. He was the one who informed Dr. Venture when his "fifteen minutes of fame" with Warhammer were over and Wes had found somebody new to draw his attention.
He apparently died along with the rest of The Doom Factory when their flying headquarters was blown up by the second Blue Morpho.

Trivia[]
- Serpentine is a parody mash-up of DC Comics villain The Riddler and Warhol superstar Ondine.
- Jackson Publick based the character on actor Michael Imperioli's portrayal of Ondine in the film I Shot Andy Warhol (1996), which he called "so snippy and sarcastic and great."[2]
