|Occupation||Terrorist, commander of S.P.H.I.N.X (formerly)|
Obsessive attachment (and stalking behavior) toward ex-girlfriend the Countess
The Countess (former girlfriend)
The Guild of Calamitous Intent (SPHINX competitor)
Originally the leader of the S.P.H.I.N.X. terrorist organization, the Commander met his defeat when his organization was destroyed by the OSI in the Pyramid Wars of 1987. He, The Countess, Diamond Backdraft, and Wind Song survived the war and went into hiding for 30 years. The Commander and Countess were in a relationship until The Countess called it off. Wind Song notes that this affected the Commander.
In Arrears in Science, Red Death says that the Sovereign impersonated SPHINX Commander to trick the OSI into believing that S.P.H.I.N.X. was responsible for the death of Jonas Venture Sr. and the crew members in attendance at Movie Night on the Gargantua 1 space station, thus launching the Pyramid Wars of 1987.
Return of S.P.H.I.N.X.
In SPHINX Rising, when the old members of S.P.H.I.N.X. read Henchman 21's recruiting ad on the internet, he is seen spying on The Countess. He and the other S.P.H.I.N.X. members goes to the warehouse where the SPHINX HQ is located and are recruited by Gary. Later they find their old equipment and he wears his old commander suit. Then, they ride in the Sphinx airship where they turn on Gary and Hank Venture.
Gary and Hank escape and Hank confronts the Commander. Because Hank is dressed in the Countess's old power suit, the Commander confuses Hank with the Countess and locks the suit's controls, stating that the suit is "programmed never to hurt [the Countess'] man." Brock Samson and Shore Leave infiltrate the Sphinx airship; Brock finds the Commander with Hank and kills the Commander with a crossbow.
