Mr. Cardholder is a minor recurring character from The Venture Bros. television series. He is introduced as an Office of Secret Intelligence agent and partner of Mr. Doe.[1] In reality, both are moles and operatives working for the Guild of Calamitous Intent.[2]
History
Mr. Cardholder and Mr. Doe worked as agents of Office of Secret Intelligence next in rank to General Treister in power.[2] They first appear in The Lepidopterists where they come to Spider-Skull Island to assist Jonas Venture Jr. with "his butterfly problem", claiming to be "amateur lepidopterists." They enlist the aid of Brock Samson for advice in dealing with The Monarch.
In later episodes, Mr. Cardholder and Mr. Doe are involved in various other O.S.I. operations. In Operation: P.R.O.M., the pair are outed as moles working for the Guild of Calamitous Intent. They attempt to convince Treister he is a "Hulk" in order to discredit his sanity to Washington D.C. and therefore inherit control of O.S.I. However, Treister is wise to their scheme. He arranges a trap for Mr. Cardholder and Mr. Doe when they attempt to capture Monstroso for the Guild.
