Trivia[]

  • Joey Nickels is a reference to the character Joey Nichols from the 1977 Woody Allen film Annie Hall.
  • According to Jackson Publick:

In Annie Hall, there's a character named Joey Nichols. Woody Allen's a little kid at one of his parents' parties and he's talking about his parents' annoying friends. This guy comes up to him like, "Joey Nichols. Nichols. Like nickels, see?" And he's got nickel cuff links, and then he slaps a nickel on his own forehead. "See? Nickels." And I thought, the guy's obsessed with nickels? That's totally a Batman villain.[2]
