H.E.L.P.eR. Model Two is a minor character in The Venture Bros. He is one of the two surviving H.E.L.P.eR. units, the other one belonging to Dr. Thaddeus Venture. He belongs to Ben, and acts as his personal assistant. Ben modified him with human parts, allowing him to gain greater intelligence and the ability to speak coherent English (albeit with a Kiwi accent).
History[]
Jonas Venture created H.E.L.P.eR.s as personal assistants for the everyday folk. Many were sold and produced, but people began hating the robot due to a potential choking hazard with children, causing anger among the public that culminated in The Great Recalling. Eventually, all but two H.E.L.P.eR. units were destroyed: the blue prototype belonging to Jonas Venture, and the red one belonging to Ben. Ben modified his unit with organic human parts, endowing it with intelligence and the ability to speak English. It also has legs instead of wheels and is colored red.
The public outcry regarding the safety issues of H.E.L.P.eR.s eventually led to their destruction.
In The Inamorata Consequence, The Venture family returns to the charred remains of the Venture Compound for the Second Summit of Tolerance between The Guild and The OSI. Dean sneaks out of the summit to visit Ben in his house. The door knock is answered by Ben's H.E.L.P.eR., as Ben flew to New Zealand. The red colored H.E.L.P.eR. proceeds to tell Dean about the history of his kind, and how they were eventually mostly wiped out. H.E.L.P.eR. Model Two knows Dean is a clone, but later calls him Rusty (having not actually called him Dean at any point in the conversation). This implies that Rusty is also a clone himself.
