Trivia
- The Sovereign told Phantom Limb that he originally slew Force Majeure and usurped his position in The Guild to seize control of The Council of 13.[1]
- Force Majeure's base of operations was Meteor Majeure, a satellite orbiting the Earth. It was inspired by Asteroid M, the one-time base of the Marvel Comics supervillain Magneto.
- In 1968, Force Majeure held the Boys Brigade for ransom on Meteor Majeure. The team of youths included Professor Impossible, Phantom Limb, and General Manhowers.[2]
- The legal term force majeure means an unavoidable chance occurrence that prevents one or more of the parties to a contract from fulfilling their contractual obligations.
- Force Majeure is also the title of the twelfth album by German electronic musicians Tangerine Dream, originally issued on transparent vinyl. It was a departure from the band's previous Krautrock output, moving them more toward the prog rock genre.
