Fat Chance is a super-villain recruited by The Revenge Society. His set of files in the Guild archives reveal he was once aligned with the the Guild of Calamitous Intent.
History[]
Background[]
As a result of a failed scientific experiment, Fat Chance's body was transformed into a portal to another dimension, which he uses to "pull stuff outta time and space through [his] duodenum."
Season 4[]
He first appeared in the episode Bright Lights, Dean City where he is interviewed for a position the Revenge Society. He explains that he was mutated, something they all relate to with their experience. He describes his powers and is later inducted into the group. Fat Chance and his group lure Dr. Thaddeus "Rusty" Venture to Impossible Towers where they attempt to ambush him. However, Fat Chance accidentally tripped causing him to land on Dr. Venture which inadvertently allowed the latter to escape the villains by being sent to another dimension.
Season 6[]
In the special All This and Gargantua-2, Fat Chance has mastered his abilities to pull objects out of his body, now being able to pull anything he chooses thanks to the training of The Revenge Society's new advisor, Dr. Henry Killinger. Killinger hints that he should now be called 'Fat Choice', though it's unknown if he will take this name or continue to go by his original name. He participates in robbing the Gargantua Space Station by smuggling his comrades onto the station with his powers and holding all the guests hostage. When Rose Whalen, Colonel Gentleman and The Action Man manage to fight the hostage situation, Fat Chance is knocked unconscious as various things escape his dimensional rift. At the end of the special, Radical Left and Phantom Limb were later seen escaping to Meteor Majeure using Fat Chance's powers but he is not seen awaking and could have been left to die on the station.
Final Fate?[]
According to Jackson Publick, there was a scene cut from the episode that dealt with the fate of Baron Werner Ünderbheit and Fat Chance. Moments before Gargantua 2 is destroyed, Ünderbheit asks Fat Chance to return him to Ünderland, and Fat Chance grants this request. Fat Chance, now alone on the doomed space station, realizes he cannot pass through his own hole, yet he still tries. In his commentary, Publick leaves the possibility of Fat Chance's success to be determined.[1]
