A group of abominations seeking refuge in Puerta Bahia

According to Merriam-Webster, an abomination is "Something regarded with disgust or hatred".[1] In the context of the Venture Bros. universe, the term has been used to denote creatures (or in one case, a device[2] of unnatural nature born by super-science or occasionally magic. The term is usually used pejoratively, although it has been used as a self-description by Venturestein, the leader of the abomination revolutionary movement U.R.G.H. whom seeks to create an independent country for the freed creations of super-science in Puerto Bahia.[3]

Two people have argued that abominations (or perhaps more precisely, a particular instance) need to be destroyed due to their natures as abominations even though they were harmless or even benign. Dr. Venture said that the Perfect Man was an abomination and therefore needed to be destroyed[4], and the Alchemist argued that Nien Nunb, a character he conjured from a Star Wars trading card, should also be be destroyed on the account of it being an abomination. However, Dr. Orpheus said that such killings would be murder unless the abomination in question was the walking dead or made of reanimated body parts.[5] The moral judgement of the proponents of Abomination destruction are questionable, as they would make creations of the walking dead themselves.[6]
